Wayne's Words

It was so nice to see the church building full yesterday. I have to be honest and say, “IT WOULD BE GREAT TO SEE IT THAT WAY EVERY SUNDAY.” Maybe we should celebrate Easter EVERY Sunday. The truth of the matter is, WE DO! Every Sunday at Grace we remember the        RESURRECTION; each Sunday we celebrate the Lord’s Supper which reminds us not only of Jesus’ sacrifice, but also of His resurrection and second coming. Anyway, it was nice to see a full house yesterday.

Remember our young people (FOCUS) and their sponsors who are in Mexico this week on a missions trip.

Remember our prospective new senior pastor will be here Sunday, April 6th for a trial sermon and to meet the people.

Remember ALL of our young men and women who are serving in the military.

Remember our missionaries and their families.

When you remember all these things, say a prayer asking God to bless and keep them.

Pastor Wayne

A BIG “THANK YOU” to Coni Goudeau and her crew of wonderful women who pitched in and gave the kitchen a Spring deep-cleaning, top to bottom. It shines!

To all my dear, dear friends at Grace Community:

I can’t even begin to thank you for all your love and kindness you poured out on my family and me when my precious husband, Chuck went to be with the Lord.

People are still saying what a lovely service it was, and what an awesome job the pastor did, and my Grace group did putting the food together.

Pastor Wayne, you’ll never know how we felt when you were there to pray with us. What love and comfort you brought to us!

And to Dee for all the last minute things you pulled together.

And last, but not least, to my awesome Grace group, the Megees, who worked so hard to put everything together, along with the Freemans, Whites, and all who contributed toward the food.

We are forever grateful! I love you so much.

In Christ,

Susan Mathis
